St. Luke UMC is supporting POWER Main Line in two new initiatives focusing on young people, the “Freedom Empowerment Academy,” and “Up For Debate.”
The "Freedom Empowerment Academy" plans to offer a curriculum of history resources that tell the story of African Americans in America and the sin of slavery, at a time when local school boards in Pennsylvania are advocating to eliminate this history from public school curricula.
The “Up For Debate” program will teach middle school children the skills needed to be successful debaters. POWER Main Line is looking for teachers, curriculum experts, and people interested in educational achievement to support these new initiatives.
If you are interested in serving in any of these roles, please reach out to Pastor Mark (email@example.com or 973-508-6308).
If you would like to learn more about POWER Main Line, you are invited to join the organization's monthly meetings held via Zoom. The link to the recurring meetings is Power Main Line Meetings.
